Bear favourites Big Mama’s Door return for another evening of sexy 50s RnB, jazz and soul. Widely acclaimed by their peers and audiences as hugely entertaining and engaging, they bring a whole lot of professionalism and love to their performances, selling out venues everywhere.
Big Mama’s Door play an eclectic mix of originals and covers, led by an authentic and charismatic frontwoman and backed by an excellent band, steeped in the music of the great Blue Note, Chess and Atlantic recordings.
Featuring Fiona McElroy (vocals), Andy Knight (guitar), Franca Shaw (bass), Martin Dewhirst (sax), Stephen Walsh (piano) and Brad Shaw (drums), all serving up a truly exceptional blend of funky jazz and soul-tinged blues.
“Excellent band… Fiona’s smoky, laid-back voice does the risqué blues with soul stuff with a vengeance”
“The audience was wowed by the sheer personality of Fiona as a performer… and the musical excellence of the rest of the band”
