Born and raised in Luton by a musical family, Dave Sear is paving the way for jazz trombone in the UK, and is a regular sight on gigs throughout a multitude of genres.
He gained a place at the prestigious Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2012, graduated in 2016, and has since joined the faculty to teach jazz trombone.
In recent years, Dave has been lucky enough to perform at many prestigious events and venues, such as Ronnie Scott's, The Vortex, Glastonbury Festival, Bestival, Cork Jazz Festival, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Birmingham Symphony Hall and many others.
In 2022, he released his debut album I Always Thought My Thoughts Were Me, which has received rave reviews, including a five star rating from BBC Music.
Dave will be joined by Tom Barford (tenor sax), Olly Chalk (piano), James Owston (bass) and Jim Bashford (drums).
