Gasoline & Matches is a high-energy, multi-award-winning, dual-fronted British country rock music band that seamlessly blends close harmonies, melodic guitar licks, and serious musicianship.
Fronted by Birmingham natives Sally Rea Morris and Stephen Marks, they are fierce entertainers renowned for their tongue-in-cheek and much-loved song "Never Have I Ever". They gained momentum after receiving multiple spins on BBC Radio 2 and never fail to get festival-goers on their feet, participating in the infamous drinking game that inspired the song.
They are resident hosts of Nashville Sounds in the Round, their Bluebird Cafe-style songwriter round at Birmingham Symphony Hall, and make a significant contribution to the country and Americana music scene in the Midlands.
“With the lead and harmony vocals of Sally Rea Morris and Stephen Marks, as well as some sterling guitar work from the pair, it was easy to hear why they have won many awards on the country music scene”
“All full of country twanging joy without going full hoedown, the pop gloss on top adds a level of modernity and accessibility to them”
