British-born of Guyanese parents, vocalist Lauren Dalrymple has been singing since the age of eight. She started out in choirs in venues such as Royal Festival Hall and Royal Albert Hall, before striking up the decision to go solo.
Her debut album Copasetic, released on her label SoFF Music, shows off her writing skills and love for the wider genres of jazz.
A chance meeting with the BBC Rising Jazz Star award-winning Alex Wilson led to the start of a great partnership, with both writing and performing, and Lauren features on Wilson's first three recordings.
She has also worked with the likes of Alabama 3, Robert Mitchell, Jay Phelphs and Noel McCoy, and she has played alongside US jazz royalty songstress, Vanessa Rubin.
Lauren has been the organiser of jazz jam sessions in London since 1998, and over two decades later they are still going strong - encouraging both amateur and professional musicians to network and work together.
