Nobody writes songs quite like the constantly touring and multi-award nominated Mark Harrison. He has a reputation for being unlike anyone else, and his highly individual music takes him to some of the top venues and festivals across the UK, attracting acclaim wherever he goes.
Mark writes songs about things most people live through and think about, but don’t hear songs about—songs that tell stories they haven’t heard before, with catchy melodies and memorable lyrics. These songs have been frequently played on BBC Radio 2, including its Pick of the Week show, on a playlist containing many of the world’s top pop artists.
His band has a unique sound and style that is very much their own genre, incorporating elements of classic roots, rock, folk, and blues. Featuring the amazing musicianship of Charles Benfield and Ben Welburn, who form a unique and much-admired rhythm section, they have been compared to classic artists of the golden era such as The Band and Little Feat.
Mark has released eight albums, which have been acclaimed across a wide spectrum of the music world, and receive a great deal of airplay and highly enthusiastic reviews across the UK, Europe, and the US.
With his outstanding tunes, wry observations, striking rhythms, and stunning guitar playing, Mark is widely considered one of the most original and interesting artists around. You won’t hear anything else quite like him.
