“I was struck by the sheer presence and melodic heft and ease of Nick Costley-White’s playing. The ideas flow naturally, the sound is gorgeous, there’s just nothing missing”
“He’s a lyrical improviser with a crystal-clear sound and his swing feel is beautifully laidback.”
“His opening solo is full of lithe melodic lines and sophisticated chording, somehow managing to sound reassuringly old fashioned and pleasingly contemporary at the same time”
