The award-winning Nigel Price Organ Trio will be playing selections from their vast back catalogue, including the recently released and critically acclaimed Wes Reimagined. The album celebrates the compositions of jazz guitar icon Wes Montgomery, but reworked into new and unexpected feels.
The trio (featuring Nigel Price on guitar, Ross Stanley on Hammond organ and Joel Barford on drums) were nominated as the Best Ensemble in the 2021 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, and winners of the 2016 British Jazz Award for Best Small Group.
Nigel is known for his clear, no-nonsense, driving approach to jazz guitar, and has steadily become one of the UK’s foremost exponents of the instrument.
Ross is not only a fantastic musician, but he also plays a real Hammond B3 organ, complete with two Leslie speakers.
Joel is the man of the moment - he has been causing a stir across the UK and beyond with his incredible drumming ability and was recently featured in Jazzwise magazine.
Together, they form one of the most hard-hitting, dynamic and exciting jazz groups on the scene today.
