We welcome Samantha Antoinette, one of Britain’s finest gospel, blues, and soul singers, to the Bear Club for the first time. Samantha started singing at a young age, and her passion for music led to her admission to The London Community Gospel Choir. She was one of the lead singers in the choir for 21 years, where she refined her musical skills and developed her voice.
Samantha has performed with renowned artists such as Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, James Brown, Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Depeche Mode. Throughout her 35-year career, she has also been associated with musicals and opera, but she feels it is now time to focus on a solo blues career, which has always been her passion.
Her permanent blues band, The Chargers, consists of some of Denmark's finest blues musicians: Kasper “Lefty” Vegeberg (guitar), Asmus Jensen (drums), and Jakob Kortbæk (bass). Together, they create an electrifying energy, with Samantha's powerhouse vocals showcasing raw, soulful emotions.
