To simply say that SouLutions burst onto the UK soul scene in 2014 would not do justice to the time invested by song writing duo Steve Lee & Louise Mehan developing their songwriting skills, to create their distinctive ‘SouLutions’ sound.
The band was formed in 2014 by Steve Lee & Louise Mehan to showcase their love of Philly & Modern Soul. Their first release was “Listen” remixed by the Drizabone Soul Family, which stormed up the soul charts, played across the airways & was named UK Soul song of the year. It then spent 18 weeks in the Soul chart peaking at no 2, & No 1 Solar Radio Sweet Rhythms Chart.
Overnight success is rarely sustainable, so in relaying the SouLutions story - those development years are as critical as the last 9 years, which have seen them release 4 exceptional albums ‘Destiny’, ‘Thankful’, ‘Fate’ & ‘Anthology’ together with a whole host of singles that have shook the very foundations of the UK Soul Charts and deservedly earned them the title ‘darlings of the modern soul scene’.
And what about that ‘sound’, well just close your eyes & imagine a beautiful house of music created from a ‘Philly’ foundation stone, lovingly cared for, crafted and brought into the modern era and topped off with Louise Mehan’s sublime vocals.
Making their debut at The Bear Club, Steve & Louise will be backed by their superb band of top session players.
