Steve Warner is a Hertfordshire-based singer-songwriter touring and promoting his new live EP Frail. All these songs were written on and performed on the Tenor guitar (four steel string guitar... not a uke), and every song has a story. Join Steve for an intimate evening of storytelling and songwriting.
After playing bass guitar in 90s rock bands, Steve discovered folk music later in life and immediately felt at home within the community. The storytelling, songwriting, energy, and passion of fellow musicians playing together lit a spark that has never left him.
Steve slowly developed his songwriting skills and learned how to play in front of a crowd, who rarely listened but always clapped politely. Eventually, the gigs got bigger, and the crowds were less rowdy, at venues and festivals such as Cambridge Folk Club, Hitchin Folk Club, Ely Folk Festival, and The Great British Folk Festival.
Steve’s music has been played across various BBC radio stations and a host of internet-based international stations, and he was shortlisted for the Folks and Roots International Songwriting Contest two years in a row.
