The Big Smoke Family are purveyors of voodoo funk - a unique mix of punchy horns, heavy street beats, chants and samples.
Following in the footsteps of modern New Orleans funk bands such as Galactic and Trombone Shorty, and drawing inspiration from Mardi Gras Indians, James Brown and the Meters.
They are electrifying live performers with credits that include Dr. John, Maceo Parker and Ernest Ranglin and their renowned show sees them regularly sell out Ronnie Scott’s, The Hootananny, London Jazz Festival and many more.
Following the release of their single Twitchy, they appeared at Ronnie Scott’s for three dates supporting Booker T Jones on the London leg of his UK tour.
