Hailing from the Southdown area of Harpenden, this is local blues with a distinctly raucous juke-joint feel. Often featuring slide guitar and groove-based jams, the ‘Lamps’ try hard to avoid the obvious blues playbook, and as a result they get audiences on their feet.
Expect some Muddy Waters, Tommy Tucker, Johnny Otis, R.L. Burnside, John Lee Hooker, Freddie King, Creedence, B.B King, JJ Cale, Skynyrd and they have even been known to throw in one or two of their own as well.
