A welcome return to The Bear Club for one of the UK’s finest blues singers, Alderney-born Robert J. Hunter, who is taking the blues scene by storm with his gruff, powerful voice and wild, foot-stomping blues guitar. Robert's unique sound echoes Rory Gallagher, John Martyn, The Eagles, Free, and The Black Crowes—with maybe a bit of Gomez thrown in, too.
The band is turning heads across the UK and Europe with their constant touring, perfecting their blend of blues and rock 'n' roll. This is a road-worn, dirty blues band that has been honed to super-tight perfection through sheer hard work and a volume of shows.
Previous releases ‘Hurricane’, ‘Suitcase Blues’, and ‘Good People’ have received rave reviews worldwide. The band has reached number one in the iTunes blues chart on several occasions and earned national radio play on BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing, and Planet Rock, along with global independent radio play.
The band has supported acts such as Wilko Johnson, The Animals, and Kris Barras Band. They were also recent finalists in the UK Blues Challenge and The International Songwriting Competition.
