Join The Rosellys for a very special launch party at The Bear to celebrate the release of their new album, On The Porch.
Beautiful harmonies and an array of instruments, including pedal guitar, make this group stand out on the UK scene. They have toured extensively across the UK, Australia and America - notably the Southern States where San Antonio (Texas) has become their second home.
On The Porch is The Rosellys' long-awaited fifth studio album. It was a long road to completion, complicated by two craniotomies, one broken shoulder, one baby and of course, a worldwide pandemic.
The album features a spectrum of original songs covering a huge variety of instrumentation and styles, including bluegrass, country, Cajun, singer-songwriter, American folk and pop influences. It showcases The Rosellys' best songwriting to date, and many of their songs are based on true stories from personal experiences, or stories learnt from their extensive travels in the UK or abroad.
The band is led by life partners Dr Rebecca Rosellys (guitar, vocals, banjo) and Simon Rosellys (guitar, fiddle, vocals). They are accompanied by fellow members George Kirby (drums), George's dad Matt Kirby (double and electric bass) and Simon's dad Allan Kelly (pedal steel guitar and accordion).
