Join us for a lively Christmas party atmosphere, with vocalist Lauren Dalrymple returning to The Bear after having raised the roof last time.
British-born of Guyanese parents, Lauren has been singing since the age of eight. She started out in choirs in venues such as the Royal Festival Hall and Royal Albert Hall, before taking the decision to go solo.
Her debut album Copasetic, released on her label SoFF Music, shows off her writing skills and love for the wider genres of jazz.
Lauren has been the organiser of jazz jam sessions in London since 1998, and over two decades later they are still going strong - encouraging both amateur and professional musicians to network and work together.
Lauren will be joined by:
Ayo "Tiger Eye" Vincent
The baby of the family. Ayo, is proving that he can keep up with the old heads on the scene. This young pianist is a bandleader in his own right, and also arranges as music director for many on the UK jazz circuit.
Michael "The Swirl" Searl
Michael serves as the foundational bass player in numerous bands, however his talents extend to drums, keys, and even steel pan. When he started working with Lauren, he was her drummer, but his exceptional bass skills ultimately won her over, becoming the driving force behind her self-penned music.
Robert "T-shirt" aka "Teesh" Fordjour
The granddaddy of the band, Robert, brings his wealth of experience, professionalism, and wisdom to Lauren's ensemble. Renowned as the drummer of choice for Courtney Pine CBE, he has also supported giants like Cassandra Wilson.
