A graduate of the esteemed Trinity Laban Conservatoire Of Music and Dance, Reiss honed his craft in jazz performance and composition, earning a degree that served as a springboard for his development in the music world.

Beyond his prowess as a performer, Reiss is a dedicated educator, nurturing the next generation of musical talents and imparting invaluable wisdom to aspiring musicians.

Line-up: Reiss Ellis Beckles (saxophone), Torin Davies (guitar), Rowan Hudson (piano), Tom Rivière (double bass), Mark Andrew Hale (drums).

Another great solo was by alto player Reiss Beckles. Reiss juxtaposed long and fluid licks with outrageous interval leaps and tri-tones. It really brought Mulligan’s music to the 21st century and created a lighter side to the programme.
