Firm favourites on the blues and jump-jive scenes, The Cadillac Kings features five of the UK's top blues and roots musicians.
Inspired by the sounds and styles of the ‘40s and ‘50s with a distinctly modern take lyric-wise, this is a band with a reputation for wowing their audiences, from intimate clubs to major festivals, from theatres to dance-halls, the length and breadth of the UK and Europe, from the Canaries to the Arctic Circle.
Since their last appearance at The Bear, they have recorded and released their sixth album Crash and Burn, with Luton’s own 33 Jazz Records.
The album was recorded at Grange Studios in the Norfolk countryside by two of the UK’s most experienced studio engineers, Dave Williams and Richard Manwaring, whose past credits include recording and mixing albums by Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Eric Bibb and Fleetwood Mac, to name but a few.
In its first week of release, Crash and Burn shot straight to #2 in the UK IBBA blues chart and #5 in the Australian Blues & Roots chart, and it has been selected as album of the week at over twenty radio stations on both sides of the Atlantic.
